Dearest Swami ...
Dearest Swami,
I dreamt I was on a journey the other night. I found myself in a land full of little children, all dressed in orange like you always did. It looked like Your earthly abode and as I gazed in wonder, I suddenly realized that You were not there and that I would not be able to see Your form ever again.
Great sorrow and anguish then filled my heart. When I woke up, tears were streaming down my cheeks.
All I have now are memories of You, dear Lord, and how precious they are!

Develop the Spirit of Thyaga
"There was an old woman in Uttar Pradesh who used to give away many things in charity. She used to go about with her head bowed. Some people asked her why she was humbling herself in that manner when she could hold her head high because of the numerous gifts she was making to all and sundry. She modestly replied: "When the Lord is giving me so many things with His thousand hands, all that I am giving is only with a single hand. What reason is there for feeling proud about what I am doing? Should not people feel ashamed about giving to others with one hand what God gives to them with a thousand hands?"
Hence, everyone must develop the spirit of Thyaga (sacrifice). You must serve the people with your body. You have to cherish good and noble thoughts in your mind. You must use your wealth for supporting educational and other institutions to help the people. Give food to the starving. This is the way to lead a purposeful and sublime life. Life has been given to you not to fatten yourself. The body is the basic instrument for the practice of Dharma.
Dedicate your entire time to service and the discharge of your duties. Your sadhana must not befor selfish ends. It must promote the good of others. Giving up selfishness, cultivating selflesslove for others, sanctify your lives."

Dearest Swami ...
Dearest Swami,
Guru Purnima will be here again soon and I am already thinking how we shall miss You on this auspicious day.
We know You are still with us in spirit but it will not be the same like the “old days” when we could see You, feel You, touch You.
Each one of us will feel Your absence very much in our hearts and for many of us, tears will still roll when we think of the blissful times when You gave us darshan.
We shall now have to experience You within, dear Lord, as You would want us to do. Oh, how we all miss You!
“I am not outside; I am within you. You see Me outside only in order to experience Me within yourselves.”

Shining Like a Mirror
Once a great painter was assigned by a king to execute a huge fresco of a scene from the Mahabharatha battle on the wall of his Durbar Hall.
Another painter came and asked for permission to execute a fresco on the opposite wall. He said he would within the same period prepare on his wall an equally grand fresco, in fact an exact replica of the other, inspite of a curtain being hung in between the walls.
On the date fixed for the opening of the frescoes to be seen by the king, the curtain was removed. The king was amazed to find an exact copy of the same scene from the Mahabharatha battle down to the minutest detail of lines and curves, tints and tilts, light and shade. The king questioned the painter as to how he could do it. The artist said that he had not used any brush or paint. What he did was thoroughly polish the wall assigned to him. He polished the wall in such a way that it shone like a mirror. So the duplicate fresco was only a reflection of the original.
Similarly we have to cleanse our mind and make it pure so that God's sublime grandeur and beauty may be reflected in our heart.
