Dear Lord ...

Dear Lord,
I woke up this morning to the busy chatter of birds

in the trees
and I thought of You.

I looked at the billowing white clouds

in the sky
and I thought of You.

I looked at the lovely flowers and trees

gently swaying in the wind
and I thought of You.

I heard the carefree laughter of the children

playing in the garden
and I thought of You.

Thank You, dear Lord, for the little joys of life

for they let me think of You!
