Colonel Joga Rao was a Civil Engineer by profession and was instrumental in the construction of many of the buildings in the three campuses of the Sri Sathya Sai Deemed University.
During the construction of Anantapur College building, Joga Rao was with Bhagawan at Brindavan. He wanted to go to Anantapur to check the progress of the work. Bhagawan asked him to postpone that visit by a day. Since Joga Rao had an important meeting the next day in his office, he did not want to change his plan. So he took leave of Bhagawan and proceeded to Anantapur.
After reaching Penukonda, there was a huge downpour. His car got stuck on a low level culvert with water on all sides on account of flash floods. Joga Rao remembered Bhagawan and prayed for His help. A number of local villagers appeared on the scene and helped him to cross over the culvert. He reached Anantapur and finished his work.
While he was returning to Bangalore, it again started raining heavily with strong winds blowing. He was held up at a road block caused by a huge tree that had fallen on the road. It was already dusk. Joga Rao repented for not heeding Bhagawan's advice. Again by Bhagawan's grace, some local people came to his rescue; they cleared a diversion path. While traversing the diversion, Joga Rao failed to notice a right-angled bend on the path which was submerged in water and would have landed him in a ditch. But suddenly, the car stopped and it was lifted literally from its precarious position and was placed on the right course! Surely it was the unseen hand of his loving Bhagawan that had saved him.
When he met Bhagawan the next morning, He described in detail all the difficulties confronted by Joga Rao the previous day. He also told Joga Rao that He was with him throughout, guarding and guiding him. Bhagawan confirmed that He had lifted the car to avert the major accident and saved him. Sky is the limit to measure the loving Lord's love for His devotees!
