Did you ever have one of those days that seemed almost perfect? I had one of those days recently. It was a beautiful day outdoors here in the mountains of my home. Autumn was at her peak. Entire trees were alive with color and glowing in the sunshine. The yellow trees shone like little suns lighting up the woodlands. The orange trees looked like blazing campfires giving their warmth to all. The red trees were so glorious it seemed like a sunset had moved down among them. It was a feast for the eyes and soul at the same time.
The perfectness of the day wasn’t limited to the wonderful weather and spectacular scenery either. It was also a day when all the hearts around me were full of happiness. It was a day when choosing and sharing love and joy seemed as simple as breathing. It was a day when problems were handled with smiles and frustrations with laughter. It was a day when God gave me a taste of Heaven while I was still here on Earth.
Almost all of us have a day like this from time to time. It is a day when we seem to be standing on a pinnacle of peace, a mountaintop of joy, and a ridge line of rapture. It is a day when we reach the highest of highs. It is a day that we wish all of our days were like.
The truth is not everyday can be a day like this. Still, if you choose love, joy, and oneness with God everyday can be a good day. If you share your love and joy with those around you everyday can be a peaceful and happy day. If you live the way God meant for you to live everyday can be a delightfully wonderful day. Not everyday can be a perfect day, but everyday can have love, joy, smiles, laughter, peace, happiness, goodness, glory, kindness, wonder, delight, and oneness with God in it if you only choose to make it so.
