Everything's a Miracle

I was reading my newspaper just the other day when I read this wonderful quote by Albert Einstein:

"There are two ways to live your life - one is though nothing is a miracle. The other is though everything is a miracle."

I know that I try as much as possible to live the second way. I know that life itself is a miracle and I try to see the miracle in everything. It is so easy to see the miracle of life in even the simplest things. A flower, a leaf, or a blade of grass all look so simple, yet no one can explain how they live or were created. That is why I know that there must be a very loving and powerful intelligence guiding this world.

Life is too glorious, beautiful, and varied to have been made by simple chance. Life had to have been created by God. God created all of life. God created each of us. If a miracle is an act of God then we are all miracles. You are a miracle. I am a miracle. The person next door is a miracle. It is a miracle that you see, hear, taste, touch and smell. It is a miracle that you can continue to live and grow and learn year after year. It is a miracle that you can have love and joy and oneness with God in your life simply by choosing to do so.

I agree with Albert Einstein. Everything is a miracle. You need only open your eyes to see it. Everything in this world and everything in this life is a miracle: a gift from God to be enjoyed and cherished. I will live my life then as though everything is a miracle. I will make my own life a miracle of love and joy and sharing and giving. I will take joy in the miracles of this life and look forward to the greater miracles of the next.
