I had God when I was nothing,
I prayed to bestow unto me everything.
Gaining so I lost my peace,
With fickle senses, never at ease.
He asked me to choose - Him or the world?
I responded seeking the latter word.
Leaving the God of all boons,
The brilliance of thousand moons,
]I cling to that light which is not the source,
A blunder, I realized in due course.
O! Baba, pardon me for this ignorant act,
I shall come back to You, like before - intact,
I shall be Your shadow,
Your tender footsteps, I will follow.
