Once Col. Joga Rao had severe chest pain with all the symptoms of a heart attack. He was admitted to a reputed hospital in Bangalore and was kept in the ICU. Baba was at Prashanthi Nilayam.
During the afternoon Darshan, Baba told the students and a few other devotees who were seated in the portico of the Mandir, "Joga Rao is not well. I have to go to Bangalore to see him." His car was kept ready. Baba went into His room, came out after some time and announced, "I went and saw Joga Rao, he is alright. I sat by his side on the bed and he was upset that no chair was provided for Me."
When Col. Joga Rao's son-in-law went to see him late in the afternoon, Col. Joga Rao told him that Baba came there and blessed him. He also told his son-in-law that Baba had to sit on his bed since there was no chair available in his room.
A few days later, Col. Joga Rao was shifted to a suite from the ICU. Baba travelled to Bangalore and visited him in the hospital.
Blessed is the devotee who earns the love of the Lord.
