Dr. Dharma Pal Dhall, Chairman, International Zone 3, Director of Australian Institute of Sathya Sai Education, met Bhagawan Baba for the first time in August 1987. He shares one of his many experiences of Bhagawan.
He and his family had many instances when Bhagawan's protective hand was evident. His son had met with two single-car accidents, once when a storm pushed his car off the highway and a second accident when his car skidded on loose gravel on the road. In both instances the cars rolled over and over and were damaged beyond repair. Looking at the damaged cars, it seemed miraculous how anyone could have come out alive. Yet he was physically completely unhurt, without even a scratch. His son felt that someone had held him close.
On another occasion, Bhagawan appeared in a dream to his daughter and told her to call on Him form her heart if she encountered any difficulty while skiing the next day as she was new to skiing. The following day, while skiing she lost her sticks and was sliding at a great speed towards a tree. She would have had a serious accident but she remembered Bhagawan's dream and called Him "from her heart". Immediately someone came at speed towards her and knocked her down so that she rolled in the snow away from the tree unhurt. She looked around to see who was the person who had done that but she could not see anyone around!
