Padma, an ardent devotee of Bhagawan, was in the teaching profession. Kasturi's family treated her as their own daughter. She would tell them many stories of Bhagawan's early life at Puttaparthi. She was a source of great inspiration to their family. She had witnessed visions of the Third Eye, of Bhagawan as Krishna on the swing, as Varalakshmi and as Shirdi Sai Baba.
One day, Padma came limping to Kasturi's house in Davangere. Her right foot had twisted badly, when she descended the school steps. She was in great pain. That night, she was in bed with the light on, complaining to Bhagawan for neglecting her and appealing to Him to save her from the ignominy of limping along the busy city road to reach the school, where she was teaching.
Suddenly, she heard Bhagawan calling her name from outside the house. When she opened the door, Bhagawan was standing there. He came in and said, "Don't blame Me so for your carelessness." Bhagawan had brought with Him a bottle of thick yellow liquid and a swab. "Which foot is it that missed a step?" He asked. Then He applied the remedy on the right foot and melted away. And Padma fell asleep. She didn't even close the door.
Next morning she came hopping, skipping with sprightly steps into Kasturi's house. She showed them her foot which had a thick coat of yellow. It would not be washed off, even with soap and hot water.
With each such glimpse of the love that He embodies, we must strengthen the bond of love between Him and ourselves. Bhagawan loves us without calculating our qualifications, without insisting on returns and even ignoring our sins and vices as mere errors.
