A woman named Shakunthala went outside in the hot sun and returned very tired. She could only remember opening the door whereupon she fell down unconscious. When she opened her eyes after some time, she saw her neighbour, Kanamma sitting near her giving milk from a flask. After that she said that she had some work in her house and left saying that she would be back around 4.30 p.m.
When she came at 4.30 p.m., Shakunthala told her, "If you had not come and given me milk, I don't know how long I would have remained unconscious." Kanamma expressed surprise to hear this. She said that she had not come to her house earlier in the day. She had left her house early in the morning on some work and had only just returned. She thought she would drop in before going home. When she heard Shakunthala's narration, she was mystified. They both realized that it was Bhagawan Baba who had come to Shakunthala's rescue.
