On another Dasara, Vidwan T. Chowdaiah, the famed violin virtuoso, entertained the gathering during the evening programme. At the end of the hour long performance, Baba waved His palm and created a gold medal for him. Chowdaiah rose to receive it but when He was placing the gift in his hand, Baba withheld it saying, "Oh! You have many medals already. There must be My name on this." He blew His breath on it, even while He held it dangling in His clasp. And lo! "Presented to T. Chowdaiah by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba" was found inscribed in artistic letters on the obverse of the medal!
