A Forest Department officer who had to tour uninhabited tracks and jungles for at least a few months every year as part of his official duties, came to Puttaparthi for Baba's Darshan. When Baba saw him from the balcony, He asked, "Did you get the lorry I sent?" Sri Kasturi who was present there thought that the man was a business man who had dispatched a lorry to Puttaparthi and was expecting it back. But this man narrated the real story about the lorry which Baba had mentioned.
He said he had developed a septic wound while in camp and that he had fallen into delirium on account of fever. It was raining terribly and thunder roared overhead. He prayed to all Gods he knew including Baba but found no ray of hope for he was in the very middle of nowhere. Then suddenly he heard the sound of a passing lorry. The driver had lost his way and was nosing his way about the jungle tracks. The servants of the officer ran after it, shouting desperately and caught it by the side of deep nullah where it had per force to stop.
Now, when Baba questioned him about the lorry, the revelation came to him that it was Baba who sent the lorry along the god-forsaken jungle track to pick him up from his sick bed and take him to the nearest doctor, 40 miles away to save his life by the doctor's timely ministration.
