At one time Kasturi was very anxious to get initiated into a mantra by Baba Himself.
About this Baba Himself said, "It happened in Kashi. He prayed to me for a mantra, since he thought Kashi was the best place for securing that boon. He even refused to eat till he received a mantra from Me. He was in tears. But I was always laughing all the time at his request. Imagine asking for a mantra after securing the one whom all the mantras promise to secure for you!"
Kasturi would add after recounting this incident, "We should pray to Baba to make us realize the magnitude of our fortune in gaining His proximity and grace."
