Once, sarees shed tears in Dharmakshethra. One hundred sarees were brought to Swami, which were to be sent to the volunteers working in the construction site in Ananthapur for the women's college. Only 96 sarees were required and as much were selected by Swami. The remaining four were to be returned to the shop. After a while, it was noticed that water was dripping down from the borders of those four sarees.
When this matter was referred to Bhagawan, Swami narrated a story:
In Thretha Yuga, a little hill shed tears. The monkeys found that the causeway towards Sri Lanka had been completed and the hill which was the last one to be brought, was not used. It was abandoned. So it thought and started shedding tears!
Lord Rama assured the hill that it would not be abandoned forever and in His next Avatar as Sri Krishna, the hill (Govardhana Giri) would be held aloft to provide shelter to the inhabitants in Mathura. The stone had to wait for another Yuga to receive this special grace. But the fortunate four sarees were blessed on the same day of this same Yuga.Dr. John Hishop, who witnessed this Divine event in Dharmakshethra, added in his book "My Baba and I":
"He exclaimed, "Swami, the self same drama that occurred in the time of Rama and again in the time of Krishna, was played here again today in this very room."
Baba replied, "Yes. And with the self same Rama and the self same Krishna here again today in this very room."
He further adds, "As was the case with the rejected mountain peak, the rejected sarees received the compassion of the Lord and they were presented to the ladies in Baba's party, to be used by them. In fact, my wife received one of the sarees and this saree received plenty of appreciation from her!"
