"Some time back, Bhagawan went to a granite factory in Tumkur. The director of the factory is a good devotee of Bhagawan. I too went. There were excellent arrangements. A huge shamiana was set up for the occasion. A large petalled path was made for Bhagawan. Bhagawan's chair was decorated and placed on the dais.
Bhagawan came and the director opened the door welcoming Him very profusely. Bhagawan too blessed all with His hands raised. He sat on the chair. Suddenly he got up and materialized a diamond ring for the musicians.
Then the director said, "In this huge audience, my daughter sits in one corner there. I had taken her to many doctors all over the world and they could not cure her. But here, with vibhuthi alone, Bhagawan cured her." Out of gratitude, he had built the Sai Ramesh Hall n Brindavan at a cost of sixty five lakh rupees. He went on to explain that when the daughter was about to be operated on in New York, the doctors noticed a sudden change. The mass that was there had disappeared. It was mysterious. Bhagawan appeared there Himself. The devotee also stated that his brother's wife also had a disease, which Bhagawan graciously cured.
After the function was over, I was standing in one corner unnoticed by Swami. I felt sad at being so neglected by Bhagawan because everyone was getting His attention except me. Then lunch was served on the beautiful tables. Unfortunately I could not get a table because many executives were there. So I went into the kitchen. The cooks gave me a glass of lime juice. That was my lunch.
After lunch Swami got into His car and proceeded. I was very sad that He did not take me in His car. I prayed very hard and suddenly Baba stopped His car and asked me to get in. Baba asked, "How was the lunch?" I said, "Very grand, Swami." Baba replied, "What? Lime juice?"
On the way we stopped at the house of a devotee. I walked in with Him this time. I was getting all the attention. After some time we were asked to eat in the dining room. Sumptuous sweets were served. Bhagawan asked the householder to serve me three sweets and three helpings each because I had not eaten any food.
What I want to impress on you is this: a prayer is heard and immediately answered, whereas in the world, a demand is heard but negated. By Baba, a tear of joy is a reward later. Here in the world, we are made to cry. In the world we give everything and get nothing in return. To God we give nothing, yet we get everything."
