"To quote Bhagawan, "Human life has become much worse than animals." He adds that birds fly and monkeys move together in harmony and elephants move in herds, but it is only man who prefers to live in isolation. No animal feels superior to other animals; and there is no ego in the animal world. So, animals need not be told to behave like animals. Lions behave like lions and elephants do likewise - they need not be told. So birds and beasts do not require any reminder or caution about their behaviour, appropriate to their lifestyle and world.
There is also no need to tell the trees and the plants how they should grow and spread. Nothing in nature feels superior to any other part of nature.
It is only the human being who is following animal life and therefore must be told to behave like a human being, according to Baba, who makes a point, "The purpose of the Avatar is to remind human beings of the human values latent within, so that they may conduct themselves in accordance with the human life that they are gifted with."
