It is said that "A friend in need is a friend indeed". We may recount the experience of another of Baba's classmate, Narayana Reddy. It was Baba's 60th Birthday and He was travelling in HIs car towards the Kothacheruvu area, on His way to Anantapur. Suddenly, Baba stopped His car. He recognised a gentleman passing by and said, "Hey, Narayana Reddy, how are you?" This man was very much surprised.
Baba asked him, "Don't you remember? We were classmates. Have you forgotten Me? Your number was such and such and you sat on that bench. We were classmates. How is it that you have forgotten me?"
When Swami meets His local folks from Puttaparthi and from the neighbouring villages, He talks to them in the same language, with the same intonation, diction and accent, as they speak. After talking with Narayana Reddy, He asked the latter about his house. Narayana Reddy replied that he was staying in a rented house. Then Baba told him not to worry, because He would get a new house constructed for Reddy as a birthday gift. Today Narayana Reddy stays in the house constructed specially for him by Baba. We know from Bhagawan that "A friend in need is a friend indeed".
