One day, a boy asked Me, “You are an Avatar, so why doesn’t the whole world come to Puttaparthi? Why doesn't everybody come here? Why do so many people still not know or believe that You are an Avatar?”
I told him, “Bangaru (golden one), I have kept it a secret. If I let everybody know that I am here and I am the Avatar, the whole world would be here – and where would you be able to sit?” To specially bless you, I willed that not everyone should know about Me. The same continues today. Some will never know who I am. Not all will understand who I am. Only those who have humility and an open mind to accept that I can come in a hundred ways will know the truth. There is little scope for a mind full of objections and reasoning, to understand the truth."
The young boy's question about why everyone doesn't flock to Puttaparthi, given Bhagawan's status as an Avatar, is met with a revealing response. Swami explains that He has intentionally kept His divinity a secret, as universal recognition would lead to an overwhelming influx of people, rendering it difficult for devotees to even find a place to sit.
Swami's response highlights the importance of humility and an open mind in recognizing spiritual truth. He emphasizes that only those with these qualities can truly understand His divinity, which can manifest in countless ways. A mind burdened with objections and skepticism is unlikely to grasp the truth.
