celebration in Karur during Baba's stay there. Thousands of people gathered everyday to have His Darshan.
One day a poor villager came along with his seven year old dumb daughter and sat among the large gathering where Baba slowly walked before the throng, talking to people here and there. When He came near the dumb girl, He asked her, "What is your name?"
Before she could respond, the father explained that she was born dumb. But ignoring him, Baba asked the girl to talk. And she shouted, "Swami!" Baba called her near Him and went on asking her the name of her father, mother and so on. To all questions, the girl gave appropriate replies.
The Divine Love blessed the child with the power of speech.
