To be overly concerned about one's duties is a kind of virtue.
But to bring oneself too much hardship because of them is
neither fitting to one's constitution nor felicitous to human nature.
To revere simplicity and be unattached is indeed
an indication of high character.
But to maintain too much elegant simplicity is neither helpful
to humanity nor useful to the world at large.
One's conduct must be objective and impartial. Good fortune and happiness will then smile on one.
