Special Darshan

 

A lady devotee of Bangalore was conducting a special puja for Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of plenty and prosperity.  She was sad at heart because her Sai Krishna had hastened away to Madras from Bangalore just recently.  Her husband was also in Madras on official work at that time.

Her whole mind and heart centering on Bhagawan, she sat for her puja.  All of a sudden, she heard the horn of a car.  She could recognize it as the familiar horn of Bhagawan's car.  She ran out of the Puja room to the entrance door of her house.  She couldn't believe her eyes.  Bhagawan entered her house followed by her husband.

The loving God moved in.  The lady forgot about the Lakshmi Puja and hurriedly prepared refreshments for her Sai Lakshmi and offered them to Him.  Bhagawan gladly partook of them.  The lady went in to fetch water for Bhagawan.  When she returned, no one was there.  Where could they disappear?  She concluded that the pranksome Lord had driven away with her husband to some other devotee's house.

She came out and asked the watchman about which direction Bhagawan's car had gone.  He totally denied seeing any car coming into their house with Bhagawan and the master of the house.  She got angry with the watchman thinking that he was careless and lying.

She frantically phoned all the close devotees of Bhagawan in Bangalore to find out whether He had come to any of their houses.  He had not.  On the other hand they all collected at our lady's house with garlands and flowers to offer to Bhagawan hoping that He would return to her house from wherever He had gone.  After a long wait, it dawned on them that the very visit of Bhagawan to Bangalore must have been extra-corporeal in order to bless the Lakshmi Puja performed by His loving devotee.

Immediately they phoned up to Madras.  Their doubt was correct.  Bhagawan had been in Madras all along.  He hadn't moved out anywhere.  Baba Himself laughed over the other end of the phone at Madras to convince them.

The lady became ecstatic on realizing that in response to her loving desire to have darshan of Sai Lakshmi, her loving Lord had deigned to come over to her house in a supernatural way.  She could not contain her excitement and in ecstasy swooned away.

The devotees around were alarmed and conveyed this too on the phone to Bhagawan.

Bhagawan told them not to worry and that He had sent vibhuti which the devotees should smear on the lady's forehead and put a little in her mouth.  Bhagawan said that soon she would be alright!  The devotees were astonished to see vibhuti gushing out from the ear-piece of the phone!  Bhagawan's love could achieve anything.

As per the directions of Bhagawan, the vibhuti was smeared on her forehead and a little was put in her mouth.  She got up as if nothing had happened.

All the devotees garlanded the fortunate telephone and paid obeisance to it!  Bhagawan's loving miracle gave an opportunity to an inanimate telephone instrument to play a role in His loving drama.
