Healed by the Lord's Visit

An ardent devotee of Baba, Sri Challa Apparao, was suffering from acute illness for a long time and was completely bedridden.  He was in his native village in East Godavari District.  Off and on he used to show a little improvement but very soon he would be down again.  His health took a definite turn for the worse.  He was very firm in his devotion for Baba and surrendered completely to His Divine will, so he was not ready to undertake any medical aid.  He was suffering most from piles; this caused such heavy bleeding that he had acute anaemia.  His body swelled and haemoglobin percentage went down to as low as 30%.  His doctor friend, Dr. G. Kesava Rao felt that no one could survive his serious combination.  Apparao refused to take blood transfusion.

To everyone's amazement, on the festival of Baba's birthday, he got up from bed and moved about quite well, but again his condition worsened.  Everyone was filled with fear and anxiety  Meanwhile two devotees went to Whitefield to have Darshan of Baba.  They related to Baba about Challa Apparao's condition.  Baba consoled them.

Within a short time Baba in His infinite love for His devotee, came to East Godavari District and visited the village where Apparao was living.  Baba went to His house and sat by his side on the bed.  He blessed him and materialised a Lingam.  Then Baba told him that the Lingam should be ceremonially bathed in water and he should drink that "consecrated theertha" everyday.  Wonder of wonders!  From the very next moment, the patient was transformed beyond words!

The swelling of he body completely disappeared.  Bleeding stopped dramatically.  Within a month, he was quite fresh and shining with youth.  Sri Apparao said that before the Divine visit of Baba, he was a corpse; after Baba's Divine treatment, he became the conqueror of death.
