Healing Touch of the Robe

Nalini Gopal Ayya was a business executive  in an export import firm.  Her duties took her to many parts of he world.  Swami's prompt response to her distress calls, both spoken and unspoken, makes inspiring reading.

One day Nalini was driving fast to Brindavan from her residence in Bangalore as she was late and noticed some ladies at a bus stop, anxiously looking for the bus.  Nalini stopped and asked them to get in, as she was going to Whitefield and could drop them anywhere on the way.  They were very happy, as they too had planned to go for Darshan.  She opened the door for them and chattering excitedly, all the eight of hem piled in.

In their haste to be off, they just slammed the doors.  In that chaos, Nalini's index and middle fingers of the right hand were caught in the door. When she was able to extricate her fingers, it was agony.  But praying to Swami, she continued to drive.  Her fingers were throbbing with pain and became blue and swollen.  She started feeling dizzy but continued driving thinking of Bhagawan.  She felt if she stopped, they would miss Darshan and all would be disappointed.  Somehow they reached Brindavan and the ladies opened the doors and ran to the darshan lines.  Nalini slowly followed after locking the car, thinking that she would see a doctor after Swami's darshan.

She sat down in a daze following Swami's movements and His interaction with His devotees in the distance.  She saw Him come down to touch His feet and His robe seemed to gently caress her right hand as He moved on.  She was once again in bliss and totally focused on Him.  When she got back to the car, she suddenly remembered the two fingers and found they were normal!  There was no pain and no blue colour.  They had all vanished by the touch of His robe.

Swami says that when we serve someone in need, He will take care of very need of ours.

(From the book "Mother Sai's Miracles of Love")
