Although I had been following Sai for many years, there are times when, I am ashamed to say, my faith wanes. Take for example the other day when I went for a doctor's appointment. I had parked my car at the side of the road since there was no room in the hospital's car park. It was only a short walk to the hospital, so I didn't mind. However, when I reached the hospital, a thought struck me. Had I rolled up the window on my driver's side? With so many car thieves around these days, my first thought was to run back to the car to check. There was still time for me to check without missing my turn with the doctor, but, to my own surprise, I decided to stay put. I briefly spoke to Swami and told Him I was leaving the safety of my car in His hands. After my appointment was over, I even took my time to stroll to a nearby shop to buy some bread, without rushing back to my car. Sure enough, when I walked back to my car, it was still there and the window had been wound up! It was truly a test of faith for me!
