Hot Sambar on the Legs

In the 1980's, Narayana Seva - a programme for feeding thousands of poor people and gifting them clothes - was arranged in the Vidyagiri Stadium during the birthday celebrations of Bhagawan.  Once when the feeding was in progress, there was a shortage of sambar at the venue.  Kutumba Rao rushed to the canteen inside the Mandir premises in a jeep, when a big vessel containing steaming sambar was loaded onto the jeep.  It overturned accidentally and its contents drenched Kutumba Rao's legs from thigh to toe!

He was rushed to hospital where the doctors found severe burns on his legs.  After necessary treatment, a bandage was put on his legs.  That afternoon, Kutumba Rao went to the Mandir limping and met Swami who looked at the bandage on his legs and joked, "What is all this show?  Nothing has happened to your leg!"  Then He gave some guest badges to him and asked him to personally hand them over to a few devotees in their flats.  He obeyed the command immediately; he went limping all over the premises and completed the job.

That evening, his wife was aghast to see her husband's condition.  She placed some pillows under his bandaged legs so that he could keep his feet at a height and sleep well.  Next morning, she wanted to see how bad the burns were and she uncovered the bandage on the feet a little.  To her astonishment and delight, the skin looked absolutely normal.  As she removed the bandage completely, everything was perfectly alright!

Kutumba Rao walked to the Mandir quite normally to the astonishment of all the doctors and others who were witness to the accident the previous day!  As soon as Swami saw him, He asked Kutumba Rao playfully, "Did I not tell you?  Nothing has happened to your legs!"
