Bhagawan Baba made His explicit appearance in her life when she was barely 6 years of age.
One day in a childish prank, she jumped off her school bus while it was still in motion. Just as she was about to jump, she heard a sweet, yet stern voice from within saying, "Don't jump, you will hurt yourself ..." But she was so obsessed with the idea of proving herself bold and courageous that she ignored the voice and did as she pleased.

Just as she was about to jump, she heard a sweet, yet stern voice from within saying, "Don't jump, you will hurt yourself ..." But she was so obsessed with the idea of proving herself bold and courageous that she ignored the voice and did as she pleased.
The freshly tarred road left her with a deep and painful gash on her chin and the next thing she remembered was that she was crying and calling out to Bhagawan Baba, begging Him for forgiveness. She had never seen Bhagawan Baba and His little pictures adorning the altar was His only identity she was acquainted with.
As she was on her way to the doctor, she felt a soft hand on her shoulder. As she looked behind, she saw the most cherubic and indeed the most compassionate face - the flowing face of her dear Lord Bhagawan Baba! Yes, He was standing there in flesh and blood, sending down the rays of infinite, indescribable love and showers of blessing. Though clad in an ordinary attire of a common man, His halo of hair distinguished Him from all mortals. Lovingly, He inquired about the injury and tenderly stroked her head. Realizing that she was fear-stricken, Bhagawan Baba opened her sweaty palms and gently pressed in two sweets, grey in colour with a "V" engraved on them and fragrant with the aroma of vibhuti.
He asked her to eat them, whenever it pained. There was silence for a while, as if the angels were passing by and then He drew closer to her and asked her in the most mellifluous voice, "Do you love Sai Baba?" She answered spontaneously that she loved Sai Baba so much. There was a sparkle in His eyes and placing His ever-giving hand on her head, He whispered softly in her ears, "Sai Baba too loves you."
So saying, He walked away, leaving her with those precious words which resound in her being even to this moment. She was left with those sweet memories for life.
